Lyra Baroque Orchestra
From the first O'Shaughnessy concert with the local American Guild of Organists, through awards, regional appearances, and two trips to Spain, to recent seasons at Sundin Hall with the likes of Ellen Hargis and Jaap ter Linden, Lyra has survived and thrived because of many devoted Local 30-73 musicians--including founding artistic director Randy Bourne, flutist and administrator Paul Jacobson, and perennial string leader, Cindy Marvin. Despite the recession, Lyra started an education program and has already worked with over a dozen public schools. Here's to the next twenty-five years! |
