Former Local 73 President Robert R. Biglow Honored
On June 16, 2008 the Board of Directors held their biweekly meeting at the law offices of the Biglow family. Amidst a recess in the usual cornucopia of Board meeting business, President Eggen presented former Minneapolis Local 73 President Robert (Bob) R. Biglow with a much deserved and long overdue Certificate of Recognition. The Certificate honored Bob’s 22 years of service in support of organized labor and the Music Industry in the State of Minnesota.
Several Biglow family members were on hand for the occasion. Bob, more than eight decades into a “life lived well”, still makes a daily pilgrimage to the office. Thanks to all the Biglows for their generous hospitality, and once again thanks to Bob for his service to Local 73, the AFM, and most of all to Twin Cities’ musicians.
Editor’s Note: Unfortunately, after this article was written, Bob passed away on July 21, 2008.
