  • JEREMY J. CAHILL
    Jeremy joins us from Fargo, ND Local 382. He plays acoustic and electric bass. He majored in Instrumental Performance at Berklee College of Music, and has many years of classical and jazz bass studies. Jeremy has performed with the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony, on the cruise ship MS Starward, and with various show bands on the West Coast. Jeremy continues playing with four established bands and subs as needed on numerous gigs.

  • NIKKI M. LEMIRE
    Nikki plays piano and harp. She is also a vocalist, and is currently working for the Minnesota Opera Company.
  • HARLEY SOMMERFELD
    Life Member Harley Sommerfeld joins Local 30-73 from Fargo, ND Local 382. He plays baritone, tenor, alto, and soprano saxophone, as well as clarinet, bass clarinet, and flute. He has a BS from Valley City State University and an MS from the University of Illinois. Harley has been a Public School teacher in North Dakota and Minnesota for over 30 years, and has played professionally since 1957 with various dance bands, concert bands, pit bands, and jazz groups. He plans to continuing playing in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

  • DANIEL T. CHONG
    Daniel plays and teaches violin. He has studied at the Curtis Institute of Music, Cleveland Institute of Music, and New England Conservatory. Daniel has also participated in the Marlboro Music Festival. He is currently a member of the Parker Quartet and in residence with Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and MN Public Radio. His future plans include “having a beer and chilling with his dog Bodie”.
  • HONG DICE
    Gao Hong, a Chinese musical prodigy and master of the pear-shaped lute, the pipa, began her career as a professional musician at age 12. She graduated with honors from China's premier music school, the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, where she studied with the great pipa master Lin Shicheng. In both China and the U.S. Gao has received numerous top awards and honors, including First Prize in the Hebei Professional Young Music Performers Competition and an International Art Cup in Beijing. In 2005 Gao Hong became the first traditional musician to be awarded the prestigious Bush Artist Fellowship, and in 2008 she became the only musician in any genre to win three McKnight Artist Fellowships for Performing Musicians. She has also recently received an American Composer Forum Commissioning Grant.

    Janet is a vocalist. She sings gospel, jazz, blues and opera.

    Robert plays drum set.
  • KATHLEEN R. KRAULIK
    Kathleen plays piano and is also a vocal coach. She has a BM in piano and vocal performance from Union College in Lincoln, NE, and a MM in piano performance from the University of Arizona - Tucson. Kathleen has played with many Twin Cities choral organizations, churches, colleges and universities, and is currently working for the Minnesota Opera.
  • MARC H. LEVINE
    Marc plays and teaches violin and baroque violin. He has a BM and MM from the Indiana University, and a DMA from Stony Brook University. Marc was Concertmaster in both Indiana University and Stony Brook University orchestras. He has also served as Concertmaster for eleven different opera productions. Mark has over a decade of private instruction experience and would enjoy teaching at a University. He is currently performing with his baroque period instrument ensemble Flying Forms, and seeking more students and performance opportunities.
  • PETER J. MAYER
    Peter plays guitar and is also a vocalist.
  • DR. TAMI MORSE
    Tami plays and teaches harpsichord and piano. She also plays organ. She has a BMA in Musicology and Psychology and a MM in harpsichord from the University of Michigan. In 2009, she received her DMA in harpsichord from Stony Brook University. Tami studied abroad from 2004 to 2005 at the Hochschule für Musik in Köln, Germany. Tami has over 15 years of teaching experience, and has been performing professionally for more than 8 years with groups such as Foundling, Big Apple Baroque, Plymouth Symphony, and Orchestra Canton. Tami produced the opera Dido and Aeneas (Purcell) at the Boston Early Music Fringe Festival in 2009. Her future plans include performing with Flying Forms (see Marc Levine), private and university level teaching, and freelancing.
  • NIRMALA RAJASEKAR
    Nirmala plays the veena and is a vocalist. She has trained in Indian classical music since the age of six, and has 30 years of performing experience. She hopes to continue performing and teaching in the Twin Cities.
  • JEREMY J. REGER
    Jeremy plays and teaches piano. He also plays organ, celeste, harpsichord, and synthesizer.
    He has a BM from Potsdam, NY, a MM from the Cincinnati College Conservatory, and a DMA from the University of Michigan. Jeremy is an Aspen Opera Theater Fellow, and has performed with Sun Opera Works and Opera Theater at Lucca. Currently he is working with the Minnesota Opera.
  • ZACHARIAH SERSHON
    Zach plays and teaches piano. He also plays guitar, bass, ukulele, melodica, harmonica, various percussion instruments and drum set. He is also a vocalist. Zach is a classically trained pianist. He has attended music programs at Normandale Community College and McNally Smith School of Music. He is trained in orchestration, arranging and composition. Zach has played in numerous groups including jazz, country, reggae, rock, and blues bands. He has done session work at Pachyderm and Two-Fish recording studios, and has released an album Splittin’ at the Seams with his group Niterail. Zach also writes classical music for many instruments including a baroque trio for harpsichord, violin and cello. In addition, he has composed soundtracks for Normandale Community College and Baby Genius. He plans to continue writing original music with others and on his own, explore soundtrack, arranging, and orchestration work; and he hopes to “gig” more frequently.

  • ZACHARY S. BATES
    Zac plays guitar, bass, keyboards, and euphonium. He has a BA in music from St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN, and studied guitar with O. Nicholas Rath. Zac has had a variety of performing and other musical experiences from garage and college bands through recording engineer. Currently he is writing music for commercials and hopes to expand his compositions to film.
  • SARAH JANE FOSTER
    Sarah plays violin and is also a Suzuki violin instructor. She has a BM in violin performance from the University of Iowa. Sarah has been a recipient of an Aspen Music Festival Scholarship and a Garth Newel Chamber Music Festival Fellowship. Her performance experiences include the Cedar Rapids Symphony, Aspen Music Festival, and University of Iowa Center of New Music where she was Concertmaster. She plans to continue freelancing, teaching and taking auditions.
  • MICHAEL B. ISRAELIEVITCH
    Michael plays and teaches drum set and tympani. He has a MM from the Boston University, and a BM from Juilliard.
    Michael has performed with the New World Symphony and is active as a soloist, and chamber and orchestral musician. He comes to the Twin Cities to perform with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. His immediate plan is to buy a winter coat! [Editors Note: That’s a good idea.]
  • STUART S. NANKIN
    Stu plays electric bass. He is also an arranger, producer, audio restoration specialist, and live recording engineer. He has attended the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, Wisconsin College Conservatory, and taken UCLA Extension courses. Stu has performed with numerous rock and R&B groups including Chameleon (Yanni) and Romeo (Dez Dickerson/Prince guitarist. He has also worked with Jack Sherman, guitarist for Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bob Dylan, and many others). He is seeking working groups, recording opportunities, and to make his high-end location recording available to other union members.
  • MICHAL ROGALSKI
    Michal plays English horn and oboe. He has attended the Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, Poland, and has a BM and MM from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Michal is currently working toward his DMA at the University of Minnesota. Michael has performed with the Winston-Salem Symphony orchestra and the Piedmont Opera, and is currently working with the Minnesota Opera Orchestra and subbing with Minnesota Orchestra. He plans to teach and perform in the Twin Cities area.
  • DAVID G. ROOS
    David plays guitar. He has studied at the Dick Grove School of Music, Creative Music Studios in Woodstock, NY, and the University of Wisconsin - River Falls. He also studied composition with Conrad DeJong. David is a first-rate jazz guitarist and performs with a variety of musicians in the Twin Cities. David led The Crystal Cruise Line’s Crystal Trio on an inaugural world cruise from Los Angeles to London. He was a founding member and contributing composer for the Twin Cities-based jazz collective The Illicit Sextet.
  • ADAM F. WERNICK
    Adam plays piano, cello, and guitar. He has a BA in Music from the University of Pennsylvania, and has 25 years of experience composing music for theater. He is currently working on the Guthrie Theatre’s production of Macbeth. Adam hopes to form a trio that would perform new music.
  • AL YNIGUES
    Al plays and teaches double bass, piano, guitar, mandolin, drums, and harmonica. He is also a vocalist. Al has over 55 years of performance experience and has training in film scoring from USC and UCLA. His immediate plans are to continue teaching, performing, and do string instrument repair. He seeks to network with other area musicians.
